After the release of Wonder Woman, we started to think what other female lead movies need to be in theaters and so we conjured up a list.  Now, there are many female superheroes that we would like to see in theaters but here are our top six.

She-Hulk

Bruce Banner’s cousin is almost as formidable as he is physically and intellectually. Jennifer Walters is a lawyer who was fatally shot by a mobster trying to get her off a case. Her cousin Bruce gave her a blood transfusion using his own gamma radiated blood cells to save her life. In another attempt on her life by the same mobster, those cells were activated and Jennifer became She-Hulk. Where her story differs from Banner is that she actually preferred being in Hulk form most times and learned to overcome her “savageness” and retain her intellect.

Black Widow

Most fans know who Natasha Romanoff is by now from all the MCU movies she’s been in. What they may not know is her troubling backstory and the darkness she had to rise from in order to become an Avenger.  There are several different accounts but the most plausable is her being trained from childhood in the Red Room Academy to be a special operative.

Power Girl

Power Girl is the counterpart to Earth-One’s Super Girl. Hailing from Earth 2, Kara Zor-L has the same abilities as her cousin Superman. She is from Krypton and has super strength, speed and durability, flight, x-ray/heat vision, etc. Although her history patterns that of Super Girl, not everything is the same. After Superman dies in a battle with Superboy Prime, Kara Zor-L takes his place on the Justice Society Of America (JSA), Earth 2’s version of the Justice League.

Catwoman

Granted, Catwoman is not a superhero but more anti-hero than anything, she still needs her own movie….redone!!!! If anyone saw the atrocity of a film starring Halle Berry as Catwoman they would understand. That movie wasn’t even based off of DC’s Catwoman which made it even worse. Selina Kyle is the on-again-off-again love interest of Bruce Wayne. At night she dons a leather cat burglar outfit and turns petty thief with the occasional big score. Kyle does what she wants when she wants to but whenever truly needed to stop a villain she’s always been there for Batman.

Storm

Ororo Munroe is a mutant with the power to control the weather. She is a long-time member of the X-Men and took over as the leader when Cyclops left the team.  Storm was also once Queen of Wakanda; she formed a relationship with T’Challa the Black Panther when they were younger. After finding each other again years later T’Challa kept pursuing her and she eventually gave in and married him.

Angela (Spawn)

Angela, not to be confused with Angela in Marvel Comics, is an angel of Heaven in Image Comics’ iconic series Spawn. She is a hunter of hellspawn and one of the best at what she does. Angela has a love/hate relationship with Al Simmons, the title character and crucial piece in a war between the forces of Heaven and Hell. She is well over 100,000 years old and is one of the most feared warriors of Heaven. Angela of Image comics and Angela of Marvel comics are alternate dimensional versions of each other but they are not the same character.
