My friends and I are guilty of this all the time and I am not ashamed to say so, but when I really think about it, the arguments are stupid.  Our arguments usually pertain to how bad the DC movies are compared to Marvel films and my rebuttal, “that not all Marvel movies are good either”.  Then it can get crazy from there, but the truth is, DC doesn’t have the movie numbers to properly have this argument yet.

Marvel started their continuity back in 2008 with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk starring Edward Norton, following shortly after within the same year.  DC started their continuity with Man of Steel back in 2013; already Marvel had a 4 year jump on the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

In those 4 years Marvel has released another Iron Man movie, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, Marvel’s The Avengers, and Iron Man 3.  All together that makes seven movies within a 4 year span.  While the DCEU only has 3 movies under their belt including Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide SquadWonder Woman will make 4, but technically it isn’t out yet and doesn’t really help against the amount of Marvel movies that are out now.  Moral of the story is, let the DCEU get to a respected number of movies and let a true debate begin.

Wonder Woman will hit theaters June 2, with Justice League coming November 15, 2017!

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters July 7, with Thor: Ragnarok following November 3rd of 2017.
