An updated synopsis to Marvel’s Black Panther teases the threat of war to Wakanda.  A new synopsis has been revealed for Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok and an official synopsis for Marvel’s Infinity War has also been revealed.

After the events of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new leader. However, T’Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.

Chadwick Boseman is set to star as T’Challa aka Black Panther alongside Michael B. Jordan, who will play Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Forest Whitaker, as elder statesman Zuri, Daniel Kaluuya as T’Challa’s confidant W’Kabi, Florence Kasumba reprising her role as Ayo, Winston Duke as M’Baku, aka Man-Ape, Danai Gurira Okoye, Letitia Wright, Sterling K. Brown as N’Jobu, and Angela Bassett as Ramonda, mother of T’Challa.

Script by Joe Robert Cole and Ryan Coogler; Black Panther is set to release in theaters on February 16, 2018.
