With the rumors that seasons seven and eight would be the final seasons for the hit show Game of Thrones, HBO has confirmed that 2018’s season eight will indeed be its last.

I am amongst the many who would love for this show to continue and that also includes HBO’s President of Programming Casey Bloys:

“Yes. They have a very specific plan about the number of seasons they want to do, Bloys said.  “Believe me, as the new [programming executive] coming in, if I could get them to do more, I would 10 more seasons.  But we take their lead on what they think they can do the best version of the show.”

Bloys has also discussed the idea of a spinoff and there have actually been talks about it, so I guess that’s an option.

Personally, I would like the show to at least make it to season ten but I guess…fan fiction (hope not).
