This weekend X-Men Apocalypse opened overseas in 75 markets and rushed to a haul of $103.3 million dollars. That number bodes wells for Apocalypse’s upcoming North American release considering X-Men: Days Of Future Past made $100 million in the same markets upon its international release two years ago. X-Men: Apocalypse will open this Memorial Day weekend in 4,000 theaters domestically and pending releases in China and Japan on June 3rd and August 11th respectively.

X-Men Apocalypse follows the story of the current X-Men after the events of Days Of Future Past and their encounter with Apocalypse and his four horsemen. Apocalypse is the original mutant with powers far beyond anything anyone has ever seen. Now, the team needs to band together to defeat him before he destroys the world and anyone who stands in his way.
