So virtual reality has always been a thing but companies like steam with the oculus rift and PlayStation has been taking it to the next level. Now this is way more expensive than the oculus rift and other VR sets but is it worth it? Well we’re here to figure that out.

The system is set at $399 and All you get for that price is the headset, and its connector hardware and cables. Its of course works with the PS4 and the DualShock 4 controller but the motion-tracking Move controllers and PlayStation Camera don’t come with this piece of gaming hardware. You kinda need the PlayStation camera, so expect to be throwing your money at whatever place you shop for your gaming accesories , and the controllers are no big deal as long as you have extra PS3 and PS4 controllers lying around somewhere.

While wearing the VR headset you’ll be able to look at the PS4’s menus and features. You can also enter  “cinematic mode” and play any of the PS4’s games and apps in a simulated 16:9 screen.
What makes something like this stick out are the games you’ll be able to play the the PSVR. How many games you make wonder? Well…actually..a good amount. Here’s the list:

  • 100ft Robot Golf
  • Allumette

The headset’s specs are 5.7-inch 1080p OLED display,100-degree field of view, 120Hz refresh rate. Not too bad at all. Is it worth it? I think it’s a great edition to the PS4. It’ll make games like Until Dawn,FF14 online, Tekken 7 and honestly any horror game be amazing. The price is a little high but a lot of the good stuff for games are expensive. Game companies are only getting better and making our gaming experience and unforgettable one. Look forward to the PlayStation VR this October.
